What happened to the crank yura. Yuri Shatunov: biography

The popularity of Yuri Shatunov and the band “Tender May” was just incredible legends based on even more amazing real facts. A charming young man fascinated with his performance millions of girls' hearts. Naturally, almost every of his fans of the ball is glad to somehow attract the attention of the singer. However, for many years in the personal life of Yuri there was no girl able to sink into his soul and make his heart tremble in a sensual love impulse.

Only years later, after the collapse of "Tender May", Shatunov finally managed to meet the one with whom he was ready to live until the end of his life. It happened back in 2000, and with a certain degree of certainty, we can say that it was love almost at first sight. The musician’s chosen one is Svetlana, and their acquaintance, as often happens, happened completely by accident and spontaneously.

Yuri saw his future wife leaving the hotel, and was so fascinated by her that he simply could not pass by. Since then, they practically do not part. And if you have to do this because of your professional duties or life factors, then they always try to reduce such periods of separation to a minimum.

Little is known about Svetlana for certain. Like many star couples, they do not like to advertise their personal lives. It is known that the girl has a law degree, but the head of the family himself assures that she does not work anywhere and is exclusively engaged in raising their children and maintaining the family hearth.

Despite the passion that inflamed quickly between them, the future spouses of the Shatunovs nevertheless got married, not at all right away. This happened only in the seventh year of their acquaintance. By that time they had already had a son, Dennis, and Yura became the Father. The newlyweds played a wedding in Germany, and in the same year they decided to christen their firstborn. The baptism ceremony took place already in the homeland of the spouses, in Sochi.

The godparents were the sister of Svetlana and a longtime acquaintance of the singer, Andrei Razin. In 2013, a new replenishment appeared in the Shatunov family - in Germany they have a daughter, who was named Estela. According to Yuri Shatunov, he was very lucky that in his life there was such a wonderful wife who gave him two charming kids.

The name of Yuri Shatunov is known to everyone in our country. The group “Tender May”, whose soloist he was, simply thundered on all the sites of the USSR in the late 80s. Such popularity as this collective had, rarely anyone managed to achieve, it was just stunning. There were times when musicians gave up to 8 (!) Concerts per day and up to 40 concerts per week.
Yura Shatunov was born on September 6, 1973 in Bashkiria in the city of Kumertau. His parents were young and married when his mother was 18 and his father 23 years old. The father was not too interested in the baby, and in the first years of her life, mother and grandparents were engaged in the education of Yura.
Parents did not live together for long, their marriage broke up after three years. The mother married a second time, but the new husband had problems with alcohol, the little Jura disliked him and now and then ran away, as a rule, to his grandmother and grandfather.

At age 7, Yura, like all children, went to school. And four years later a tragedy happened - his mother died of heart failure. Two months earlier, she transferred Yura to a boarding school, as she learned about the exacerbation of the disease. Since the son was not needed to his father, his mother’s sister took custody of him. But Yura, possessing a wayward character, decided to flee and wandered until the fall of next year in the Orenburg region and in Bashkiria.
In November, a commission met in Orenburg, which decided the fate of the boy. Compassion for the boy was felt by the director of the orphanage in the suburbs of Orenburg and took him to her orphanage. There he became seriously interested in hockey and was a left striker.

Career of Yuri Shatunov

And a year later, the directors of this orphanage were transferred to the same position in Orenburg, and Yura fled there after her. It was in Orenburg that he met with Sergei Kuznetsov, who led the amateur art group. The boy began to practice singing and together they recorded the first songs composed by Kuznetsov. So began the story of the creation of " Affectionate may". They came up with the name of the group together, taking a line from the song.

On New Year's Eve, Yura has already performed several songs in the assembly hall of the boarding school.
Gradually, the group formed, it included other performers. The group began to actively perform at discos and in local house  Culture. Over the next year, the group recorded their main hits, which later brought her fame.
At the beginning of the 88th year, the group’s first album was recorded, which Kuznetsov sold to a recording kiosk at the railway station, and in the fall Kuznetsov decided to go to Moscow. Yura followed him, escaping from the boarding school.

Andrei Razin, who was then the producer of the Mirage group, once on a train listened to a purchased record of Tender May. He went to Orenburg to find a talented performer, but did not find him in the city. They later met already in Moscow. Yura and other children from the group were transferred to a Moscow boarding school, where they lived for the first time.
In the fall of 88, the group's first major tour of the cities of the USSR took place. Soon, Tender May's performances began to air on central television. Popularity grew like a snowball.
And in March 89, Kuznetsov left the group and Andrei Razin became its leader.
In October of the 91st year, Yuri Shatunov left the group, deciding to pursue a solo career. After his departure, the group broke up.

After leaving the group, Jura moved to Germany, was educated as a sound engineer, and took up studio work. Over the next ten years, he recorded several albums.

In 2009, the movie "Tender May" was released, dedicated to the history of the group. During these years, Yuri actively toured Russia in support of the film, and today he is also a frequent participant in retro concerts.

Personal life of Yuri Shatunov

Now in family life he is quite happy. With his chosen one Svetlanahe met back in 2000. He wanted the girl not to know about his popular past, but to treat him like a simple guy. Sveta, who lived in Germany, really did not know anything about "Tender May."

7 years after they met, they got married, and the year before they had a son, Dennis, and in the 13th year, their daughter Estella was born. Yuri lives mainly in Germany, but often happens in Russia with concerts.

Biography added: October 15, 2013

Yuri Vasilievich Shatunov  (September 6, 1973, Kumertau, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) Soviet and Russian singer, legendary soloist of the cult-popular group "Tender May."

Father Vasily Dmitrievich Klimenko, after the birth of Yuri did not show interest in his son. After the death of her mother, Vera Gavrilovna Shatunova, on November 7, 1984, he was taken to raise aunts from the village of Tulgan. He was 11 years old. Then he was brought up in the Akbulaksky orphanage (Orenburg region), spent a year in it, then was transferred to Orenburg boarding school No. 2.

Tender May

At the end of 1986, when Yuri was transferred to the Orenburg boarding school, he met with the head of the music club Sergei Kuznetsov, with whom they recorded their first songs on a household tape recorder in a local recreation center. So the first composition of the group was created "Tender May", which in addition to Kuznetsov and Shatunov included Vyacheslav Ponomaryov and Sergey Serkov (he was engaged in light music). The group did not perform at discos and was not yet known.

In 1988, Andrei Razin, being the manager of the Moscow Record Studio for Popular Music of the USSR Ministry of Culture, heard the song “White Roses” on the train and wanted to find a boy who sang this song. It was Shatunov. A few days later, Razin arrived in Orenburg, but Shatunov was not in the boarding school - he was on the run, so Kuznetsov and Pakhomov went to Moscow. Shatunova Kuznetsov brought to Moscow only in September, where the new “Tender May” began its existence in the All-Union Union of Special Forces “Record”.

The group "Tender May" with Shatunov lasted from 1988 to 1992, and after the departure of Shatunov almost immediately disintegrated.

After "Tender May"

With the departure from Tender May, Yura Shatunov took up a solo career, and Arkady Kudryashov became his producer. In 1992, Shatunov’s solo album was recorded with the symbolic title “That May Ended”, but then the album was renamed to “You Know”. It came to the masses only in 1993.

In 1992, Yura Shatunov received an invitation from A. Pugacheva to take part in her “Christmas Meetings”. Yura agrees and at the end of December first appears on stage as a solo artist with the new song “Starry Night”.

On September 29, 1993, at the entrance to Shatunov’s house, his best friend Mikhail Sukhomlinov (keyboard player LM) was shot dead before his eyes.

In the spring of 1994, PolyGram Russia, one of the largest recording studios in Russia, offered cooperation to Shatunov. Negotiations were quick, and after a few days the artist signed a contract with Boris Zosimov. Hard work has begun. A video was shot for the song "Starry Night", the second video was already shot for the song "And falling to his knees", the premiere of the video took place in late summer - early fall 1994. There was also a third clip, “Another Pain”, but because of the damage to the film, it never went on air. In September 1994, the presentation of Shatunov's new album, “Do You Remember,” took place. More than half of his songs were written by the poet and composer of “Tender May” Sergei Kuznetsov.

In 1996, Shatunov released the remix album “Artificial respiration”.

In 1999, in Irkutsk, at the studio of Boris Rozhansky, Yuri Shatunov recorded several completely new songs (demo versions) (Do Not Cry, Last Snow, Night Station, An Accidental Meeting, Summer Rang, and Night Is Dark ”,“ Tears of Yours ”,“ Just Dreams ”,“ July Rain ”), the existence of which is not even suspected by most fans of the singer. The fact is that these works were released only in Germany on a pirate disc entitled "Affectionate May 2000. You have not heard that!". Songwriter is Kostya Gubin. According to Shatunov himself, this musical material was stolen at the time when he was picking up new arrangers for himself to work in a team. Also in the "pirate" album included several remixes of "affectionate" hits.

In 2001, the album “Remember May” was released, where the song “Forget” was the main hit.

September 18, 2009 Yuri Shatunov went on a Big tour of Russian cities in support of the feature film "Tender May."

Yuri Shatunov took part in the filming of the series “Happy Together”, the new season of which started on TNT on February 1. The singer played himself: in the story, Gene told him about a terminally ill sister, whose help can only be met with the idol of childhood. “For the actors of the series, the arrival of a 90s star was another reason to have fun on the set. So, Yulia Zakharova (in the series - Elena Poleno) screamed at each take on the “idol” so that Yura forgot the text in horror. But when he finally managed to utter his remark, Yuri relaxed and with pleasure joined the creative process: he improvised and laughed with the actors on the coups. ”

On March 1, 2010, the Monolith company, with the information support of Retro FM radio station, released a CD with original records from 1988-1989. and the original photo shoot of Yuri Shatunov of that time. All recordings were made officially for the first time in digital quality.

In autumn, several new tracks appeared on the singer’s official website, including “From White Roses”, “Tête-à-tête” and the rewritten version of “Silly Snowflakes”. A video clip for the song “From White Roses” appeared on the site, which contains photos of the artist’s fans, as well as excerpts from his video clips and performances.

Yuri Shatunov is a Soviet and Russian pop singer whose name can be called a symbol of the nineties. After all, he was the main soloist and face of the band “Tender May” - a legend, hysteria and, possibly, the most daring adventure of the times of perestroika.

The life of the artist Yuri Shatunov is a unique case in his own way. An orphan boy from a dysfunctional family, from a remote Russian province, an orphanage pupil, of whom there are millions in Russia, and whose lives often turn out to be very sad, for his biography he survived both a tremendous take-off and wild popularity, and, no less surprising, after all this not only didn’t “burn out”, but he managed to arrange his life and stay in the profession. But first things first.

Yura was born in Bashkiria, in the village of PyatkI in an ambulance car on the way to the maternity hospital in Kumertau. And his life immediately began to take shape heavily. Shortly after the birth of the baby, the father abandoned his mother. And when Yura was 11 years old, she died. After which the boy ended up in an orphanage. It is not known how the fate of the teenager would have developed, especially since he was brisk in character - he had repeatedly escaped from the orphanage and wandered. However, what happened next cannot be explained otherwise than by the intervention of fate. The only friend of Jura in the orphanage No. 2 of the city of Orenburg, where he eventually ended up, was the head of the amateur art group - Sergey Kuznetsov.

Probably, such a story could happen only in Russia and only during perestroika. And she did happen. A 13-year-old boy from an orphanage and the head of an amateur art group record an album of songs composed by the head of the club. Then this head goes to the Soyuzpechat kiosk at the Orenburg station and offers cassettes for sale. Suddenly, the cassettes begin to be snapped up. And after some time, an event of a sort of fiction happens in Orenburg boarding school No. 2 - a person comes from Moscow itself, from the Ministry of Culture! "For the talented Yura."

Arriving “from culture” was Andrei Razin, the future producer of the “Tender May” group. And, of course, had nothing to do with the ministry. But what he had was the brilliant talent of the businessman, with the help of which he soon really created the “Tender May” group. And not even one.

The history of this legendary group is worthy of a real study. And maybe even a high-budget movie. However, this is far away. Since today its main participants are producer Andrei Razin, songwriter Sergei Kuznetsov and soloist Yuri Shatunov tell her differently. However, the main fact, of course, is remembered by everyone who survived that time. In the late 1980s, the group “Tender May” became a real sensation in the Soviet Union. Its popularity in the vast “Soviet empire” could only be compared with the popularity of the Beatles in the west. A teenage boy sang in an unsettled voice practically unorganized, rustic songs laid on cute melodies. And the country was literally overwhelmed by insanity against the backdrop of "Tender May" - the first youth group that generally appeared in the USSR. And the more criticism poured in her address, the stronger the unprecedented popularity of the team grew.

“Tender May” gathered thousands of stadiums up to 60 thousand people, and was so in demand by the public that he gave several concerts a day. The number of concerts sometimes reached up to eight per day. Orphaned boys are the soloists of the group, and yesterday, residents of poor orphanages, earned thousands of royalties for the concert. And all this hysteria, without exaggeration, lasted almost five years. Until 1992, when Yura Shatunov left the group.

History knows many tragic fates of child stars. For the tender psyche of the child, the test of glory is beyond its power. The lives of many participants in Tender May have tragically ended. However, this fate also bypassed the lucky Yuri Shatunov. In the dashing nineties, the young idol of an entire generation of Soviet girls went to Germany, received his education as a sound engineer. And ... soon continued his singing career with a new producer, and in combination with his godfather Arkady Kudryashov. Since then, the musical-career line of the symbol of perestroika has been developing, although without the previous excitement, but quite calmly and evenly. And the army of fans of the artist is still large enough to collect concerts and publish albums.

Moreover, in the history of Yuri Shatunov there is also a kind of happy end. After all, an orphaned boy, who once survived all the “charms” of an orphanage, eventually managed to create his own good and strong family. Yuri met his Russian-born wife Svetlana in the year 2000 in Germany. And in the 2006th in Munich, they got married. Svetlana works as a lawyer, and today the couple raise two children together - Dennis (born 2006) and Estela (born 2013).
